Residential Construction-Project Manager

We are currently looking for Project Managers for projects in the Central New Jersey area for upcoming projects in Middlesex and Hunterdon counties.

Qualified applicants must be able to: manage overall construction of site improvements and buildings at large residential or mixed use project, maintain adherence to plans and specifications in order to achieve quality, coordinate and direct vendors and sub-contractors to complete project on schedule and within budget:

Job responsibilities will include the following:

• Supervise rough/finish supers, clerk and sub-contractors 
• Directs / prioritizes work flow
• Maintains construction schedules
• Monitors quality of work and responds to service/warranty requests
• Completes construction within budget 
• Approves payments for labor / materials
• Review and approve all change orders
• Resolves problems
• Enforces company safety policies
• Coordinates entire permit application process and required inspections
• Liaison between company and others

Qualifications
• Extensive knowledge of construction processes and procedures including scheduling
• Must be well organized and have proven management abilities
• Posses excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Have a positive attitude, professional appearance and ability to lead others
• Exhibit proactive work habits and desire to succeed.
• Ability to work as a team member, communicate with others and share responsibility to work towards common goals.
• Ability to adapt skills to new challenges.
• Ability to work within a framework yet show initiative and determination required to excel.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office and/or Microsoft Project is desired but not required
• Minimum of ten years construction field experience with three in management capacity or minimum of seven years of construction field experience with two in management capacity and associates degree or better in business, management or construction related field
